International Food Network Wins Community Service Award

International Food Network, Inc. is presented the 2007 Community Service Award from the Cornell Business and Technology Park

ITHACA, N.Y. – The 2007 Community Service Award was presented to the International Food Network, Inc. on July 27 at the annual "Party by the Pond" held for tenants and friends of the Cornell Business and Technology Park in the Village of Lansing.

The annual award is sponsored by the Real Estate Department of Cornell University, and it recognizes volunteer and community service efforts made by companies, and employees of companies, located at the Cornell Business and Technology Park. This year’s award recognizes the International Food Network's strong commitment to community service through a variety of direct financial support and in-kind and volunteer support to a broad range of agencies and institutions in Tompkins County, including the United Way of Tompkins County, The Immaculate Conception School scholarship fund, and the Ithaca Diamonds Girls Softball team.

Peter Salmon, President of the International Food Network, accepted the award on behalf of his company from Tom LiVigne, Interim Director of the Cornell Real Estate Department. The International Food Network selected the United Way of Tompkins County’s Urgent Rx Program as the recipient of the award’s $2,000 benefit.
